Lavender Heart

What a lovely piece of glass this is. I am using it as a pendant on a necklace. I can only imagine what a journey this shard has taken. And that dear reader, is the joy of sea glass - trying to suppose where this treasure originated, and how it came to be by my feet. I am so priveleged to have found it.

Gray Morning

It is a foggy morning, the perfect weather for a successful sea glass expedition. To my eyes, the shards show themselves more readily without the glare of the sun. Of course, any day is a good day for a beach walk. I am off. Wish me luck.

The Zen of Sea Glass

I wander at the water's edge, over shells and pebbles, listening to the quiet hiss of an ebbing tide. It is so peaceful. I walk with head down, looking at nothing, noticing everything. I amble along, hoping to be left alone. I view any beach as my own, and hope each stroll will be undisturbed save for the elements of the sea.

I look for bits of color and for familiar shapes. Once seen, I scoop the prize into my hand, and then to the baggie in my pocket. Treasures. I love it here.
